Qazkom has launched the Western Union money transfers via Homebank
Almaty, 21 December 2017 – Qazkom has extended opportunities for using the Western Union money transfers® for its clients. From now on, Homebank users can easily send and receive the Western Union money transfers without any need to go to the Bank branches.
«Now, our clients can send and receive the Western Union money transfers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. One extra benefit of the new service — special promo-tariffs for sending the Western Union money transfers via Homebank, which are almost twice as lower of the cost for the same service in the Bank branches», — as commented Nurlan Zhagiparov, Managing Director of Qazkom.
It is important to note that the Western Union money transfers via Internet-banking are new for Kazakhstan. For using this service, one need to have a current or card account with Qazkom, and be registered at Homebank as well.
At present, Qazkom and its Parent Bank “Halyk Bank” JSC are the leading partner banks of Western Union in Kazakhstan. These banks are going to increase the number of Western Union money transfers due to implementation of mobile proximity servicing channels.
There are two options of Western Union money transfers — “Express” and “12 hour” available for Homebank users today. When sending money via “Express” Western Union money transfers, one can receive money in several minutes after sending thereof. And when sending money via “12 hour” Western Union money transfers, one can receive money in 12 hours after sending thereof. This way of transferring money is applied for money transfers from Kazakhstan to CIS countries and Georgia (except the money transfers to Russia, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan). The “Express” and “12 hour” Western Union money transfer fees are the same until the promo-tariffs are in effect (till 30 June 2018).
